THIS WEEK: Sole Canadian LNG import terminal defies the market

Canada, is planning to export LNG within the next four years, but still imported 2.7 million tonnes of LNG in 2011 into the glutted North American natural gas market, up 60 percent from 1.6 MT the previous year, according to figures from the National Energy Board.
