BG second-quarter performance fails to match buoyant global LNG cargo sales

BG Group said total operating profit dropped by 8 percent in the second quarter to $1.97Bln as the increase in revenue and other operating income from LNG cargo sales was offset by higher costs in the exploration and production division.
