Woodside Energy shuts LNG train for repair
Perth, Aug 31 (LNG journal)
- Woodside Energy Ltd. said on Wednesday it shut one of four liquefied natural gas processing trains at its North West Shelf plant, at Karratha, Western Australia, to carry out repairs.

The Australian operating company said a mixed refrigeration compressor needed repairing and would be off line for up to 30 days. The other three trains at the Karratha terminal are operating normally.

“The venture is working closely with customers to minimise the impact of the shutdown on LNG deliveries,” Woodside said in its statement.

Gas from the $11 billion, Woodside-operated North West Shelf joint venture is processed at Karratha. The NWS, which is underpinned by long-term contracts to Japan , is Australia 's only LNG-producing facility.

The six equal partners in the North West Shelf joint venture are Woodside, BHP Billiton, Chevron Corp., BP, Japan Australia LNG and Shell.
